The product is a passive infra-red (PIR) sensor, which detects the infra-red rays (heat) emitted from the objects in its operating range. The sensor would work depending on the changes in the heat background of the area. Therefore, it is not recommended to install the sensor in areas with greater temperature amplitudes – near air conditioners or other heating devices.
WFSDVM works with TUYA – a smartphone app. It is used as a motion sensor and sends notifications to the smartphone. It could also be used for different lighting settings (like switching on/off WI-FI SMART lighting, sockets and switches that supply different type of electrical consumers). With the WI-FI SMART products one can develop an intelligent system operated via smartphone (tablet) or voice assistant.
Advantages:
- Could control all Wi-Fi Smart Ultralux products. Automatization options – switching ON/OFF the lighting whenever a movement is being detected, brightness regulation (increase/decrease), color temperature change (if the lighting source permits such). By using the Tuya Smart app one could control LED lamps, Controllers (SSWFRGB and SSWFRGBW). Also, single-colored LED strips and panels via the Wi-Fi controller SSWF1Z from the 2.4G Smart system of lighting control.
- Signalization is triggered whenever a movement is tracked. The user receives a notification, regardless of his/her location. Availability of internet connection is required for both the phone and the sensor. It could be used as an alarm system.
- Special register follows the events history. This type of monitoring gives a detailed information in user-convenient view. The movement notifications could be switched off to avoid disturbing the user, but the events register would keep recording.
- Quick and easy mounting.
- Cabling is not necessary, as the sensor is powered by three 1.5V AAA batteries. This is a great advantage, which allows to choose mounting places where there’s no installation.
- Real-time battery level tracker. Life up to 18 moths, depending on the quality of the batteries.
- Large operating distance – 6 m.
- Ingress protection rate IP20. The senor is suitable to use in places with normal levels of damp and dust.
- Flexible mounting base allows better adjustment of the detecting direction.
